I decided to take Anna Grace to daycare on Friday and spend some one on one time with my little man;) I feel like sometimes I devote all my attention to her and sometimes don't get that quality time with Reed. We decided to get up and get ready for the day and have a lunch date at our favorite place.....

"Chip and Dip" as Reed calls it...."La Hacienda"

He loves this place so much! He really makes me laugh these days! One day we were driving down Zion road and as we passed the Mexican restaurant on the right....he says "Mommy, Is that chip and dip??" You know its bad when your son knows where the Mexican restaurant is at age 2!!! lol....gotta love him!

Then.....off to the mall for some shopping!!! This was Reed's first ride on the escalator....I had to take a pic!;) He thought it was so cool!!!

We went to Baby Gap and luckily ran into some great sales! Reed's closet is so full of Target stuff that he really needed a few new shirts and something cute to wear for his birthday party coming up!!! We found a lot of cute play clothes that were on sale! I could stay in that store FOREVER!!!

We were actually on a mission for some gray Toms for Reed but unfortunately....they were out of his size:( Hopefully they will get more in soon.....so we got AG a little present...some adorable sparkly Toms!

We were really excited about our next stop of the day...... "The Movies!!!" I took Reed to see "Beauty and the Beast." I did not realize it was in 3D until we got there....I was not real sure how he would do with the glasses but surprisingly he wore them for most of the movie! He got scared though....he would say "Mommy, I want to go home in the middle of it....I kept telling him the beast would be nice in the end....he was brave and really liked it after it was all said and done!

We picked up Anna Grace after the movie was over and went to dinner at Chick-Fil-A!!! It was yummy and the kiddos did great! I never know if they will behave but they were both very hungry which makes a HUGE difference and we got our food fast!

I had such a fabulous day with my little man and look forward to many more dates to come in the future!!! I love that little guy so much;) He told me at the end of the day..... "Mommy, I had fun with you today!" MELT. MY. HEART.

Chuck E Cheese Birthday Party

Last weekend, I took the kiddos to Cole Creighton's 3rd birthday party at Chuck E Cheese! My kids had a blast as usual! I only had my iphone so the pics are not that great....and I did not even get a pic of the birthday boy;( The kids had so much fun and were SUPER tired when we got home. They were both asleep before 8 which is nice especially when you are going on NO nap!!! Reed was a little afraid of Chuck-E at first, but then I told him Chuck E was nice so by party time, he was running up to him giving him high 5!!! So cute;) He also loved riding the horse and playing in the tunnels with the slides! Anna Grace loved being able to run around and ride a few rides! This was AG's first time to really get to enjoy Chuck E Cheese! She LOVED it;) Here are a few pics from the party!

Reed's very first trip to the Movies!!!

Lolly and Nana took Reed to the movies for the VERY first time!!! I have really been wanting him to go, but I just have not found the time or the perfect movie!!! My mom had already been to see "Chipwrecked" with Alvin and the Chipmunks and she highly recommended it for Reed! She had taken Isabella (my neice) to see it and they LOVED it!

I was a little bummed I could not join them for his very first experience due to the nasty stomach bug;( Anna Grace and I stayed at home with Pops and had a relaxing evening. I was starting to feel a little better by then but just did not want to be too far from home.....if you know what I mean! Anywho, I told my mom to text me a picture of him and let me know how he was doing since I could not be there.

She and Lolly said he was absolutely perfect and did not move a muscle or talk unless they asked him a question;) He really enjoyed the movie and told me ALL about it when he got home....he even got a Sprite and Popcorn with some gummies for a snack....which my mom said he ate the gummies first.....of course;)

I am looking forward to having a date night with my little man soon!!!

Duck camp

Reed had such a fun time at the duck camp a few weeks ago. Nick showed him how to call those ducks in with the "Robo duck!" The guys cooked us a yummy steak, sauteed mushrooms, stuffed mushrooms, baked potatoes, and delicious garlic cheese bread! It was wonderful and the kiddos had a ball! Reed enjoyed spending time with Big Daddy and riding around on his shoulders;) I did not have my good camera with me so these pics are from my Iphone! I did not get any of Anna Grace:( She had a great time too walking around the camp scoping out the place;) She may be a little hunter one day....who knows?!

Will always remember Mimi

I wanted to take some time tonight to remember Cody's Mimi. She passed away a few weeks before Christmas and is in a much better place now. She was one of the sweetest ladies ever and LOVED her family dearly!.....especially her grandbabies. I can just hear her now saying......Oh, Joni......look at him.....he is the cutest thing I've ever seen;) (about Reed) She only got to meet Anna Grace one time and she was not doing well at the time so she really did not remember much of her which makes me sad. She was always wanting to hear about how we were doing and how Cody's business was doing. She was so proud of Cody and his accomplishments. We will always remember Mimi and we know she is in heaven now smiling down on us tonight:) We love you Mimi and miss you so much!

Weekend Getaway!

Cody and I have really wanted to go hang out at the lakehouse because it is just so relaxing out there being away from it all!!! Love, Love, Love it!!! We had the best time as a family this past weekend. We loaded up everything and headed out there on Friday after Cody got off work! We cheered the hogs to victory while watching the Cotton bowl Friday night!
We had a nice relaxing morning on Saturday waking up to a beautiful view of the lake and watching the sunrise;) Then, we all decided to go on a ranger ride on our property and look for deer!:) Reed LOVES this part. It was really cold, so Anna Grace and I did not last as long as the boys did. We had to come in early. Reed and daddy built a fire and hung out;)
We drove into Eureka Saturday night and drove through "McDonald's" for dinner!!! HA! Cody and I thought about taking the kiddos to a little diner in Eureka, but after heading out we both looked at each other and agreed on driving through because it is just SO much easier!
We all had a wonderful time and look forward to sharing many more fun times together soon!

Anna Grace and I had some special girl time today while daddy and Reed went out to the lakehouse to do "boy stuff!" We played around in our pjs and had some good one on one time together;)

She is taking whole milk now and still loves to have her bottle warmed:) Reed was the same way....I guess because they were both breastfed and it just came that way;) I am trying to decide when to get rid of the bottle....I know it is time but I guess I am holding on to my baby girl as long as I can. She loves her paci and calls it her "mami" It took me a while to figure out what she was needing. She also loves to steal her big brother's juice. The girl LOVES some juice! She is talking up a storm....She says "momma" da-ddy" "juice" "Re" for Reed "mami" for paci "cracker" "ball" "Nana" "Pops" "shoes" "bye bye" and "waves backwards"

She is such a happy baby girl and loves to play with her big brother! They have started really interacting together. They will even get into it over toys at times......oh no....it has already started! The good thing is it is short lived right now. They bring so much joy to our life and Cody and I are loving every minute of it!!!

Christmas with Nana and Pops!

We had a wonderful Christmas at my parents house this year! It is always a little wild when you get a 4 yr old, 2 yr old, 1 yr old, and 8 month old together at the same time but I would not trade the chaos for anything in the world!!! We had so much fun spending time together as family!:) My brother in law got a new camera for Christmas so he took most of the pics this year while I helped open presents with the kiddos. Here are some of the random pics I took with my camera. I will post more from our Christmas when I get them from e-mail. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with Lolly and Big Daddy this year!!! It is always very relaxing for me because they are such a HUGE help with the kiddos and LOVE every minute of it;) The kiddos got up so early on Friday morning so we decided to open presents early! We all needed a nap before the day was over.

Lolly, Anna Grace, and I went shopping while Reed and the guys took a nap. We found some great sales!! I had spotted some pretty, sparkly gold trees for my mantle the last time I was in town at Murphy Long Design, so..... I had to make a stop there to find they were 50% off!!! I also love visiting with the sweet women who work there....they know I always have to come by at least once a year! I also found some fun reindeer and a fabulous sparkly tree for my mantle. We also had to stop by Especially for You and stock up on some Christmas outfits/dresses for next year for the kiddos that were another 50% off!!! whoo hooo!!! I am not very good about buying ahead, but my mother in law is really good at it! I will be so happy next year to pull it out and realize the kiddos have such cute outfits for the holidays!

We had a very Merry Christmas this year at the Crawford house! Santa was good to all of us! Reed really got excited this year more than ever! He is getting to be a big boy and understanding better;) We wanted him to remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas so we would remind him that Christmas is Jesus's birthday! He would sing Happy Birthday Jesus and it was really good for a mommy's heart;) Anna Grace got excited about all of the wrapping paper and boxes! She loved her new barn and baby doll too;) We left around naptime on Thursday to see Cody's parents and my parents and celebrate Christmas back home. It is always SO good to be at home. There is something really special about being at home and spending time with family around the holidays;)

Anna Grace LOVES her baby! She calls everything baby....its so cute the way she says it!" All you have to say anytime of the day......is "where's your baby Anna Grace?" and she points and looks and smiles!!! She knows it is usually in the living room and can find her "BABY" at any given time! Love this little girl;)

It looks like she is having a tough decision on which one to play with so she chose both....Car and BABY! She definitely has a big brother;)

We went to Lucca's 2nd Birthday Party on Saturday! Reed always gets super excited about going to birthday parties!!! He knows we always eat cake....lol! Lucca's birthday theme was "The Hungry Caterpillar!" Laura did a fantastic job making all of the yummy goodies for her party! I am always impressed with any mom who makes cake pops! I have always wanted to try to make them,but just never have. The cake was SO cute too! The weather actually turned out pretty nice....a little cool but nice enough for the kids to play outside;) Reed went to bed around 7:30 Saturday night which was so nice since I have not wrapped a thing! Cody and I ended up renting "Bridesmaids" and laughed our heads off! SO funny and a cute movie;) It was a MUCH needed date night with my man!:)

Mom and Me Brunch

We had our first annual "Mom and Me Brunch" this Christmas to start a new tradition in the "Lambert family!" We had so much fun with just us "girls!!!" We had each child make their own fingerprint on the "Family tree" I think Amanda got this idea off of Pinterest....It really turned out cute;) We all brought an ornament for each child to exchange. Amanda hosted it this year at her house. Everything turned out so nice and she went above and beyond on everything....brunch was amazing!! She made a delicious spinach cheese dish, hashbrown patties, cinnamon twist bread (my fav) pigs in a blanket for kiddos and a few other yummy dishes! She also had a hot chocolate bar, breakfast cereal bar, hot spiced cider, different flavors of cappuchino, etc....My sister and I especially enjoyed it because we actually got to visit and have some "adult time" while the kids played. It is amazing how much easier it is to have a conversation when you only have one child to watch out for! ha! It's the little things in life.....you know! I am looking forward to having a new family tradition each year!! Thanks so much Amanda for putting this together! It is wonderful to get together with such an amazing group of girls I can call "FAMILY!" Love you all so much;)

Sick babies/Branson/Girl Time

We started the week off on a bad start....Anna Grace and Reed both had a fever and upset stomach over Thanksgiving holiday. Reed started feeling better by Sunday and Anna Grace was still running a fever by Monday. I finally called the doctor for an appt! I know....I know....Even though I am a nurse, I still put things off too long! I just knew she had an ear infection, but the doctor said he saw a little fluid behind one of her ears, otherwise her ears looked good. He gave me a script for an antibiotic just in case she continued to run a fever. Well, thankfully we never had to get it filled.....She was so much better by Monday afternoon;)They both just had a nasty bug;( Here are a few pics of AG at the doctor's office.

I was hoping Reed would be completely better so he would be ready for his trip to Branson with his Nana and Pops! My parents decided to take the oldest kiddos to Branson to see a show...."Dixie Stanpede" and spend the night in the hotel;) I have really been looking forward to it so I could get some Christmas shopping done! Christmas is sneaking up on me and I have not got much accomplished yet! Reed has been pretty excited about seeing the "horses" too;) Mom and Dad drove to Hot Springs and picked up Bella and then headed to Fayetteville to stay the night and leave in the morning for Branson! I am truly grateful for my parents because I know my son is precious but he can be a little stinker and he and Bella get SO excited and love to be LOUD and just get into trouble.....to say the least! ha But, for the most part they LOVE each other and enjoy being around one another! Hopefully after many long talks with Reed about obeying Nana and Pops and telling him "BB" the elf on the shelf is still watching him in Branson.....I hope he will be on his BEST behavior....but I'm afraid all I can do is hope and PRAY he will be GOOD!

On another note......Anna Grace and I had SO much fun shopping today and we are super pumped about tomorrow too!!! We plan on getting an early start and making the most of our day! She was so cute as we went down the baby isle at Toys R' Us today....she would say "B..A..BY" over and over and would smile and laugh at the ones that made noises...it was so cute! I LOVE having a girl to shop and do girly things with....so much fun!!!:)

Anna Grace LOVES her daddy so much!!! I guess I will have to admit "da-da" was her FIRST word....and she has it down pat now! She says "dad-dy!!" She has always had a special bond with him since she was born and it is so SWEET! She smiles so big when he walks in the room and there is not much more that I need to make me happy than that:) I will try to attach a video of her looking for him when he was away hunting. I decided to start decorating early since Cody was duck hunting this weekend. I made sure he got all of our Christmas stuff down from the attic before he left! We have had some very relaxing days at home since I have been off work. It has been really nice to not have to get ready to go anywhere! I decided after naps this afternoon, we would make a trip to Oops in Tonitown. Well, I loaded up the double stroller and took the kiddos shopping! I was on a mission to find some deco mesh for my tree! They have some really fun stuff;) We started decorating tonight but will start on our big tree tomorrow morning! I cannot believe my baby girl is almost a year old!!! Time flies so fast!!! Her actual birthday is Monday, Nov 21st, but due to Thanksgiving and duck season, we celebrated early!!! We had a very small party for her which I highly recommend for a 1st birthday! It was a lot less stressful than Reed's! She got a kitchen and a baby stroller with a baby and some cute new clothes! She had so much fun playing with all of her new toys!!! She is taking lots of steps and will be walking any day now! She has added so much joy to our lives and she and Reed love each other so much! They have started playing together better and he makes her laugh!!! It is so fun having a boy and a girl and seeing how different their personalities are! Cody and I are truly blessed with such a sweet little family:) Happy 1st Birthday baby girl!!! We love you so much!!!

Halloween night

We had so much fun Halloween night! The kiddos went on a hayride around the neighborhood! We would stop and let the kids off at a few houses at a time to trick or treat;) Reed was not sure what to do at first, but with a little help from daddy and watching the big kids, he figured it out fast!!! He LOVED getting candy and would eat a piece after each house! Anna Grace and I went along for the ride. I was so glad her costume was warm because it got a little chilly on the ride. She did pretty good, but got a little restless at the end. The highlight of the night was when we visited the Nursing home across the street! Those ladies were all passing out candy and you could tell it made their night to see all of the kiddos dressed up;) We ended the night at the Evins house....with pizza and lots of yummy snacks!! Thanks Amber and Jason for having us over! We had a blast!

We had such a wonderful Labor Day weekend with both sets of families in town along with my sister and her family too! We celebrated Lolly and Uncle Kevin's birthdays out at the lakehouse! We grilled burgers, let the kiddos swim, (the water was already starting to get cold but they still managed to have fun!) hung out around the campfire Big Daddy and daddy made, and celebrated with yummy birthday cake from Rick's! It just does not get much better than that!

My dad came over Saturday morning and got the kiddos and took them to La Hacienda for lunch and then to the drive thru Gentry Zoo!!! He offered to do this, and I could not have been more excited about the idea.....because it meant that my sister, Mom, Lolly, and I could meet up for lunch with our baby girls and enjoy a nice peaceful lunch;) We went to Carabas Grill in Rogers and shopped around a few shops in the Pinnacle Hills area and later decided to hit up the Prominade! I miss my sister so much and could not have been more happy to finally get to visit and shop with her and of course my mom and Lolly too;) We had a fabulous time!!! Thank you dad soooooo much for the nice treat! You are the BEST POPS and we LOVE you so much!!!;)

My parents are so helpful when they come to visit. It can be very challenging taking care of 2 kiddos 21 months apart, but my parents always seem to come up just in the nick of time:) I guess they sense when I need a break!!!

My dad is probably one of the most patient men I have EVER known. He can manage my kiddos so well.....it almost makes it unfair that it works so well for him! ha....He just has a gentle, laid back nature and kids need that for the most part. I tend to get all keyed up about the small stuff when ultimately......it really does not matter!

9 month check up

Anna Grace had her 9 month check up about 2 weeks ago. We got to see our fav doctor ever.....Dr. Simmons! He makes our drive to Lowell so worth it!!! He always takes lots of time with us and makes us feel Oh so special!!:)

She had an animal cracker in her mouth....

Height: 64.70 cm- 25th percentile

Wt: 17 lbs 13 oz - 60th percentile

She is my happy girl and has the sweetest disposition about her. Even people who meet her for the first time in the grocery store make comments to me like.....she just seems to be a very content little baby! They are exactly right too.....she really is!:)

She has 8 teeth......4 on top and 4 on bottom

She likes baby food okay but really prefers table food more!

She eats some of the lunches at daycare. The girls always text me each day before lunch to check with me about the menu. I am about to highlight the foods she can eat for now....that way it will make it easier for them at daycare;)

They tell me she LOVES her snacks....animal crakers, graham crackers, ritz crackers....IMAGINE that! She is her mother's child;)

She has always been a really easy going baby until bedtime where she would just fight it so bad. Well, Cody and I have been trying to break her out of this and we have come so far! As much as I would love to snuggle and rock her sound asleep.....she would prefer to do it herself!

So now, we always do her bedtime routine after she eats dinner each night. She knows after her bath.....she gets to nurse and bedtime is right around the corner. For about the past 2-3 weeks, either Cody or myself will just rock for a few minutes and lay her in bed. She may cry out a few seconds or not at all. Usually on daycare nights, she is exhausted. Sometimes, if she stays up too late or past her bedtime.....she fights her sleep more i have noticed so we try real hard to be consistent and stay on schedule if we can. It makes her more happier and our life much easier too! Her bedtime is anywhere from 7:45-8:15. She sleeps all night for the most part and wakes up around 7. She has been a great sleeper from the beginning.....thank goodness!

She wears Size 3 diapers and wears anywhere from 6-9 month clothes. She has some 12 month outfits as well. She has short legs which make it hard to find pants that are not too long. We sometimes just have to roll her pants up so they don't get in the way of her crawling and pulling up. Leggings seem to work best for her which I love anyway;)

She is crawling super fast everywhere and walking around our ottomon.....pulling up from sitting to standing and easing her way back to a sitting position with no problem. She even walks well behind this push toy of Reed's! It probably won't be long til she is WALKING......oh my!!!

is "THE PIONEER WOMAN!!!"

The other night, I wanted to try a new recipe from "The Pioneer Woman"..... I have heard she does not make a bad dish....which so far is very true!!! I decided to google some of her "favorite recipes" Here is what I decided to try......Spinach Mushroom Quesadillas!!! The random thing is......that I am really not a huge fan of mushrooms, but my hubby is, so........I thought I would give this one a try....... I do however, LOVE spinach and goat cheese and the combo of both sounded DELISH!!!

They were YUMMY to say the least and VERY EASY to make! Of course, last minute I had my hubby grab a couple of items from the store that I did not have. He......of course, texted me that he could not find fontina cheese SO I told him just to get Monterey Jack and we would "wing it!!!" He brought home "MEXICAN shredded cheese".....go figure??? which contained several kinds of cheeses......I had already prepared the mushrooms and spinach so it just had to work!!! lol! It was DELICIOUS!!!

Cody is the absolute easiest person to cook for.....he NEVER complains whether I bring home CHICK FILET, make chicken salad sandwiches, throw together a spinach salad with a rotisseri chicken on top with a few of our favorite toppings, or make him a bowl of cereal......and I am NOT Kidding! He eats it and never says a word. I know this is not very fair to him who works extremely hard for our family!! He totally deserves better!!! After having kids, I will have to admit my cooking has really gone out the window! I have had many moments though, when I really want to get that "GROOVE" back!!! He loves it when I try something new!

I think he was impressed to say the least!:) He LOVED it!

I am excited to try more of her recipes. She is also very easy to follow with her step by step instructions with a picture to go with each step......my kind of girl;)

P.S. I used my panini maker for the first time and LOVED IT! Sorry mom....I know I have had it for almost a year now. lol!

I got these cute little diapers from a friend after Anna Grace was born. They came from cutieputootie.com. I thought they were a really fun gift!!! They are super cute on her little booty;) Some of the other diapers said.....

"Heaven Sent" , "Princess", "All girl" , and many others.....

I thought it was a neat gift idea....because diapers are always needed!!!

I stayed home from work with Anna Grace on Monday because she was running a fever. I really felt like she was cutting teeth because she had been sleeping SO good before this all started. This past weekend she woke up each night and by Saturday around 2 a.m. she was burning up with a fever. I gave her some Motrin and her fever broke and she slept. She was pretty happy for the most part during the day just a little clingy!

She was a little trooper because as I was looking around in her mouth, I noticed she had 2 teeth coming in at once!!! OUCH! She has 4 teeth that are completely in , 2 on top and 2 on bottom, and this makes 6 total now! Another one on top and one on bottom. Reed got his teeth early and had most of them way before he turned 1! My mom told me I cut my teeth early too.....guess it runs in the family:) I am just glad her teeth are in and she is feeling better before our mini vacation to Memphis today!

I have had so much on my heart lately about a million and 1 different things......my kids and my hubby, family( living 5 hrs away) , quiet time, family moving( sister), friends moving, friends who have experienced losing a child......the list goes on and on..... Here is a verse that really stood out to me I read from another blog.

There is a time for everything.......a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance...... Ecclesiastes 3:4

It really made me think about what is truly important in our lives and how there is a time for everything. God is so powerful and is ALWAYS our constant. I just have to remember to be faithful to him on a DAILY basis. I struggle with many things, but my problems tend to be so small when I look at the big picture. A tantrum seems so difficult at the time, but when I step back and regroup (give it to God) I see things in an entirely different way. I need to remain faithful to him and teach my children how Jesus wants us to be. If I handle myself in a more controlled way with Reed instead of losing my cool (which is so easy to do these days) he responds better USUALLY. I tell myself this is just a phase and if I am consistent and firm he will hopefully learn from his mistakes and be a better boy:)

My heart aches for my friends who have lost a child.....I just cannot even begin to fathum that, however GOD reminds us how good he is and he is the one who can lift our spirits and bring us joy. I pray for my friends alot. I pray especially for strength, understanding, and hope. God only gives us what we can handle......even though sometimes that is SO hard to grasp.

This is my all time FAVORITE verse in the bible:

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phillippians 4:13

I needed to share what was on my heart as I am home with my baby girl today. She has been running a fever (she is either teething or just has a little cold).

I LOVE dressing Anna Grace up in girly outfits.........it is SO much fun!!!

She is finally sitting up good. I don't know why but my babies are late sitters for some reason.

She was so happy this morning so I decided to take some pics.....I will do a 9 month post soon, so I will just stick to the basics. I am so blessed with a really good sleeper. She usually goes to bed around 8:30-9:00 and sleeps til 7. She takes about 2 good morning naps and 1 afternoon nap. She sometimes will take a cat nap after her dinner, but I like to hold her off so she will go to bed earlier. She loves her swing.......so I usually let her take her morning nap in it while I enjoy my coffee:)

For a while, I just could not even think about enjoying 1 warm cup of coffee. I would have to heat it up because I just did not have my routine down. I am all about routines and so I try to keep my babies on a schedule. I have learned over the years to bend it every now and then. I am so OCD about naps that it can really rock my world sometimes when Reed decides he will just play instead. I have to just go with the flow and tell myself.....it will be fine! And for the most part, he eventually wears himself out and finally crashes! ha! He also usually goes to bed earlier if he does not nap so that is nice:)

I could just kiss these sweet cheeks over and over again. Love my sweet baby girl!

Reed loves to color and play with markers. We make sure they say "Washable" just to be on the safe side:)

Anna Grace loves to pull up on just about anything and crawls EVERYWHERE!!!! I forgot how busy it got once they get to be mobile!

Reed dressed himself this morning and HAD to wear his boots.......even though it was 105 outside! ha!

He loves to put puzzles and his train track together......although he gets frustrated easily if things don't go smoothly. I usually help him out and everything is better:)

I can't believe my baby girl has been pulling up since around 7.5 months old! I don't remember Reed doing this at her age.

I feel like time has FLOWN by already and my baby boy has now all of a sudden turned into a BIG boy!!! It really makes me sad. I love every minute of being a mommy, but it definitely is WAY different having 2 kiddos:) So much fun though!

She is busy but continues to be a very content baby:)

She is such a sweetheart! LOVES to cuddle and will usually go to just about anyone.....she loves her daddy too. She just lights up when she sees him!!! Love that:)

Having a toddler and an 8 month old who is crawling and pulling up everywhere is super busy...... but I would not trade it for the WORLD!!! I LOVE being a mommy!!!!

My husband and some of his friends went to Montana to run in a half marathon about a month ago. I stayed in Fayetteville and was a single mommy for the weekend! Usually, I take off to my mom and dad's but I really just did not have the energy to pack up the car. I did manage to schedule a girl's night out on Friday night with a few of my friends. We went to Bordinos for a delicious dinner and had a fabulous time! I always forget how nice it is to get together with some of my besties:) We laugh until we cry or pee our pants....lol! Anyway, it was a much needed break for me for SURE! I love my kiddos to death, but it sure does help to get some girl time!

Saturday, I was lazy and just hung out with my babies.....we did not even get out of our PJ's until that afternoon! Sometimes, it is just nice to lounge and not feel the least bit guilty about it!:) Lauren called to invite Reed and Anna Grace over for pizza and a play date outside. Reed was super excited about seeing his buddy Lawson! He kept on saying....."I wanna go see Lawson....mommy" over and over again about a MILLION times until we pulled up to their house. It was cute how excited he gets to see his sweet friend. They played outside, jumped in the baby pool, played with "Woody", drove trucks around, Reed crawled through their doggy door a MILLION times, and ate pizza of course. Anna Grace was crawling and pulling up everywhere so it was busy, but I did manage to get a good visit in with Lauren:) We had so much fun and the kiddos were WORN out when we left!

Sunday, I was determined to get the kids ready for church all by myself for the very first time. I was worried how I might get them both inside since Reed still likes for me to carry him. We have the sweetest greeters that welcome us there and help me carry Anna Grace into church. It worked out just fine. We LOVE Cross Church!!! We all took really long naps after church! We had such a fun filled weekend and by Monday we were sooooooo glad to see daddy!!!! I think he was pretty happy to see us too:)

There is one thing I can say about Reed.....he is FULL OF LIFE!!! He has so much energy and loves to go full speed ahead all the time! He is always making us laugh and can come up with the funniest things;) I just love my little man so much and enjoy watching him grow. I wish I would write down some of the funny things he says....His new thing now is saying....."mommy, I wake up" after he layed down for a nap for about 5 minutes. I will say "Reed...you never even closed your eyes!" lol! Another thing he has done is.....went #2 outside in the backyard...yes, like a dog! I'm really not sure where he got this one from? There is really something everyday..I should take a minute just to write it down. He does amaze me how smart he is...I may have to brag a minute....We have this book called "First 100 words" and it has pictures with the name under the picture....he LOVES it! He can name every animal in the book even the hard ones like.....penguins, hoot owl, and camel.... It makes me a very proud momma;) He brings so much joy to our family and we are so blessed with a fun loving little boy! I can't believe he is almost 2.5 yrs old!!! Reed had an accident during the Memorial weekend holiday. He was staying the week in ElDorado with our parents. He was playing outside in the backyard and fell and tripped over a tree stump. He jammed his front tooth up into his gums....ouch! Big Daddy and Lolly rushed him to a Pediatric dentist in ElDorado to have him evaluated. They did x-rays and thankfully since the tooth was not bent back and it went straight up, they did not have to pull it. He recommended just watching it and following up with a dentist in Fayetteville. Well, we went last week to see Dr. Will! Reed LOVED their clinic and thought all of the animals were so neat! He was a big boy when it was time for Dr. Will to look in his mouth. He told us the tooth was coming down some and to watch it and follow up in a month. On a good note, Reed did not have any cavities!!! YAY!

Reed's haircut

I took Reed to get a haircut a few weeks ago at Pigtails and Crew Cuts!!! His hair was so long and I really love it long but knew with this hot summer he needed it shorter. It is a wonderful place to take your kiddos! Our friends, Laura and Chuck Coleman recently started it and everyone should check it out! It makes it so much more relaxing on mommy;) They have little planes and trucks for your kids to sit in and movies going on at all times! Reed was happy because Toy Story was playing....his favorite! I don't know if you can see the Woody doll he is holding during his haircut! Believe it or not.....my child actually is good for haircuts...he likes to be pampered on I guess!

Anna Grace is my happy girl! She loves to smile and I just love her little dimple;)
She is such a happy baby! She usually only fusses when she is hungry or sleepy. She loves to watch big brother play! He is paying more attention to her than he used to. I think he absolutely ADORES her for the most part. He loves to smell her head and give her kisses. He has tried to pick her up lately... He will say "Hold Grace" I do let him but he is not supposed to try on his own. He also likes to share his snack....he thinks she can eat whatever he is snacking on. One day I found a tortilla laying by her in her swing! lol! At least he likes to share! She is now 6 months old and I cannot believe how time flies!!! It makes me so sad. She is army crawling everywhere and has almost figured out the proper form. She rocks on all fours like she is ready any day! Reed is so much fun and keeps us laughing! He is talking ALL the time.....He loves to say mommy, mommy and I say what Reed? He just wants my attention b/c he does not say anything....little stinker! I have been bad about taking pictures so I don't have hardly any from Memorial Day:( Here are some random pics.

Reed has become attached to several animals of Toy Story ....we spend half our day looking for "Woody's hat, Mr. Potato head's ears, eyes, arms, etc.... When we find them his eyes just light up with excitement!!! He is talking so much these days. He can answer questions and tell me exactly what he wants! He keeps us laughing at what he comes up with....Thursday morning we woke up and he could not find Woody. Well, he had left him at school. After he was crying for Woody all morning, I decided to go get him! He knows on Thursday's he usually stays with me, but he thought he had to go to school...so when our neighborhood street ends...you can either go right to his school or left to "Wal-Marc" or Target. As I was turning right....he said "NO, mommy go that way pointing to the left! I thought that was pretty good that he knew his directions well enough to be upset about the way we went. I reassured him, I was not dropping him off, I was just running inside to get "Woody" He was okay after that! Here is a picture the other morning before we went to school....he had gotten up so early that he fell back asleep before it was time to go!:)

I can officially say I made my first trip with these two little munchkins all by myself yesterday! I drove to Hot Springs on Monday to try to make it in time for Olivia's birthday! Looking back....I was a bit crazy for driving in these crazy storms, but I was bound and determined to do it! Unfortunately, I did not make it in time. I missed it by about 1.5 hrs:( I still got to see her sweet face in the nursery when I got there. My sister had a pretty good labor for the most part. My sister and I are the best of friends....we do everything together. We are always there to share special moments with each other. I can count on her to always listen when I need a friend. I do not know what in the world I would do without her love, support, and amazing friendship! I am really excited about Anna Grace having a cousin so close in age. They will be about 5.5 months apart. I hope they will grow to be very best friends! Olivia is absolutely precious and Isabella is loving having a little sister. She has her very own live baby doll!!! How fun;)

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter despite the rainy, rainy, weather!!! Cody and I enjoyed spending Friday with my parents and we celebrated my mom's birthday too! Cody's parents, Lolly and Big Daddy came up late Friday and stayed for the Easter weekend. We decided to attend the Saturday night service for Easter since our church had 11 services to choose from. I was a little worried about the time being 5:00 since that is a really hard time for my kiddos. Well, it was a little rough about an hour before church....Reed woke up from his nap cranky and just about that time he was crying, so was Anna Grace....she was hungry! They just both wanted me and it made me a bit overwhelmed......but we survived the meltdown and I knew once we got to church I could have 1 hour of Jesus! It was probably one of the BEST Easter services I have EVER attended!!! It touched my heart and made me realize what a wonderful God we have! He died on the cross for us to save us from our sins! He did this all for us! How awesome is our God!

Since my sister was being induced on Monday, Lolly and Big Daddy took Reed home with them for a few days. Lolly brought him back to Hot Springs yesterday, so I could have some time with my sister and her new baby girl, Olivia Suzanne. It was a really nice break just to have one child. I have my hands full with two so close in age, but I would not trade it for the world! My babies are so precious to me and fill my heart with so much joy! Thanks Lolly and Big Daddy for all of your help!!!! It was very much appreciated;)

I really enjoyed this past weekend with my sweet family! We had nice warm weather so we spent most of our time outside! Reed got to play outside ALOT! He loves riding his Cozy Coupe and pushing his trucks everywhere. He and daddy played ball, rode the ranger, and chased each other around the house! I was able to work in the yard while Anna Grace was swinging in the garage. She was so content and napped well in her swing;) We had a nice church service Sunday to wrap our weekend up! I am so glad my kiddos are getting used to the church nursery. Reed has been going for a while now without even crying when we drop him off...Anna Grace is usually an angel if she has had her belly full! I am so thankful for my family!

Reed loves taking bubble baths!!! He loves splashing, floating on his back, and going under the water.....he is going to be a fish this summer!!! About 10 a.m. every morning he asks if he can take a bath....I take full advantage and usually get ready for the day during this time. Anna Grace is usually napping so Reed and I take a bath together....He usually plays in the tub while I put my makeup on and fix my hair...hey whatever works....right! He is usually shriveled up like a little prune by the time he gets out!

Anna Grace rolled over for the first time at daycare (3/22/11) and I missed it! I was able to capture her in action! She looks so chunky in these pictures....she is getting so strong holding herself up and trying to even crawl...crazy! My baby girl is growing so fast!

Big Boy Bed

I have three goals for us to accomplish with Reed in the next several months:

1. Convert Reed's bed to a big boy bed (toddler bed)

2. Potty Train....which Reed is already interested in and we are working on this as we speak just not hard core right now.

3. Take pacy away (Biggest challenge)

First things first....After several climbs out of his crib, we made the decision to covert Reed's bed to a toddler bed. I really wanted to keep him in his crib for a little while longer, but I thought if he can climb out of it and run into our bedroom, then we might as well convert it. Well, he continues to run and cry all the way to our bedroom each night. I'll have to admit I let him sleep with us. Our whole family is piled up in our room. I guess my sleep takes precedence over this issue. Maybe, if Anna Grace was sleeping through the night....I would take him right back to his room but instead I give into him and let him in our bed. We all go back to sleep without a problem. Naps on the other hand are going better. He has been napping for 2 hours usually everyday we are home except for today. I guess we will just work on taking him back to his room at night. Pray for us all to sleep well;)

Sweet Moments

Here are some sweet moments we have shared together as a family of 4! We have so much fun watching Reed and Anna Grace interact with each other. Reed loves his little sister and continues to be very sweet with her. She has started watching him so much and he definitely keeps her entertained! My family brings me the most joy! I treasure the time I spend with the little munchkins....even when we are having melt down days...tantrum throwing days....fussy days.....I just have to remind myself this too shall pass. Even when they are both crying and wanting me....I just take a deep breath and usually Cody walks in the door from work or someone decides to be happy;)

I am having so much fun with my sweet baby girl! She is just precious in every way. She lights up a room when you walk in and is all smiles;) She loves watching her big brother play...she will smile and occassionally squeal at him! LOVE that;)

We finally got to see the doctor for her 2 month visit even though she was already 3 months!!! She was a perfect little angel in the doctor's office until she had to get shots:( The doctor told me she looked great so that is always nice to hear! She is definitely getting satisfied from her mommy;) Here are some of her stats from her visit......will fill in the blanks after I find her stat sheet.

Wt: 13.9 lbs 75th percentile

Ht: 23 inches 50th percentile

Head: 75th percentile

On another note, I have started back to work and it is going pretty good. I miss my babies like CRAZY, but it does give me some "ME" and "ADULT" time. I guess it helps me feel like I am someone else besides a wife and mommy....."a nurse" I love helping people and getting to talk on the phone so I have the best of both worlds.....a phone triage nurse position. Before I had kids, I worked full time for a Cardiologist,but after Reed was born they created this position for me. I work Mon, Tues, and Wed from 8-5 and get great benefits for both of my kids and myself! I may one day decide to stay at home, but for now....it is going pretty good. My day FLIES by since I am so busy, so it helps pass the time away from my kiddos!

Where puppy go????

Where puppy go....mommy? I hear this at least 5 times a day!! Reed loves standing at our fence waiting on our neighbor's bassett hound to come lick his fingers;) He LOVES "puppies" so much!!! He will run in and out of our house with such excitement after he pets the puppy at the fence! It really makes me sad because we lost our English Bulldog several months ago and Reed was just now starting to say his name right before he passed away. Simon was our dog's name as most of you know....and he was a good ole dog! Simon was special in many ways, but the most special memory about him is the day Cody proposed to me.....he tied my ring around a bandana on Simon's neck. Cody got him for me while we were dating. He was my baby for 8 years!!!I will have to admit he LOVED me!!! He was a big family dog and very protective of us. We miss him so much and think about him ALOT! We buried him behind our friend's house on Zion Rd.....for the longest I could not drive by his house without tearing up. I still think about him just about everytime I drive by there, but I know he is in a better place now;) I have wanted to talk about him on a post but have not been able to without sobbing at my computer. I am tearing up as I type this post but it will be okay. We love you Simon and miss you SO much big boy!!!

Reed's New Jeep

Reed got a late birthday present from his Nana and Pops.....a new Jeep! Due to all the snow we have had, it came later which was fine with Reed;) Big Daddy came up this weekend and helped put it together on Saturday along with a table and chair set from him and Lolly! We had such a great time with Big Daddy! He brought his famous smoked turkey and we ate on it all weekend. He also cooked pork chops for us on Saturday night....they were yummy too!!! It was just nice to enjoy a great weekend and not have to worry about cooking! Big Daddy took Reed to the park, the pond to feed the fish, and to see the cows behind our neighborhood which is Reed's favorite! Thanks Big Daddy for a FUN weekend!!! We always enjoy your company;) We missed you Lolly!

Valentine's Day...and mommy's first day back to work:(

Since Monday was going to be a sad, crazy morning......we decided to celebrate Valentine's Day for the kids Sunday night. Reed and Anna Grace got lots of goodies...Elmo books, stuffed pink and white monkeys, stickers, light up ball, Baby Einsteen musical toy, Toy Story juice cups, and fruit snacks. Here are my sweet babies getting there stuff!

My sweet hubby surprised me after work with a dozen red roses and a nice Salmon/Steak dinner;) It made my day!!! I love you Cody Reed so much and thank God everyday for you. Hope everyone had a great Valentine's day with your sweeties;)

My Dirty Boy

Reed was sooooo ready for the weather to warm up so he could play outside. After the snow all melted he found a big mud puddle! He had so much fun jumping in it and just being a BOY! I did not realize he was getting as muddy as he got until he came around the corner. Here is a picture of my dirty boy;) The pictures have a glare on them and really do not show how dirty he really was!

A surprise visit from Lawson!

Reed's friend Lawson came over the other afternoon since he was sick the day of Reed's bday party. He surprised Reed with a yummy strawberry cupcake from Rick's, birthday hats, and present!!! Reed and Lawson celebrated together and had so much fun playing! Reed was really surprised and Loooooved the cupcake and his new guitar! Cody and I enjoyed visiting with Lauren and Wes too! Thanks guys for making Reed's birthday even more special!!!:)
